Introduction
MOTR is designed to help freelancers manage gigs, track expenses, and automate billing with minimal friction.
We respect your privacy and comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 From You
- Profile Information Name and email address (via Google OAuth) for account creation and secure login.
- Show & Event Details Locations, dates, shift times, and expenses to generate invoices and reports.
- Receipt Images Uploaded for expense processing.
- Timesheets Shift tracking for calculating pay.
- Invoice & Client Information For billing and reporting.
- Push Notification Preferences If you opt in.
1.2 From Google APIs
We only request the minimum necessary data via OAuth:

We do not request access to Gmail or any sensitive scopes.
2. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth – Authentication only
- Google Maps API – Location display
- Google Calendar API – Calendar integration
- OpenAI API – Extract text from receipt images
- Stripe – Payment processing for subscriptions
- Plausible Analytics – Anonymous usage statistics (no cookies, no tracking)
3. Data Storage
- Database – PostgreSQL (via Neon serverless, U.S. region)
- Receipt Images – Securely stored in MOTR's infrastructure
- Sessions – Encrypted HTTP-only cookies
- Push Tokens – Stored only if notifications are enabled
4. How We Use Your Data
- Calculate shift payments, per diems, and expenses
- Generate invoices and exportable reports
- Process receipts for expense tracking
- Display maps and location-based info for shows
- Send push notifications you've opted into
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or Google data with third parties, except as required by law or with your explicit consent.
5. Data Security
- Encrypted database connections (TLS)
- Secure authentication with NextAuth
- No storage of Google passwords
- Access controls to limit staff access to production data
6. Google API Limited Use
MOTR's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- Google data is only used to provide features you've enabled.
- Google data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
- Data is only shared if required by law or with your explicit consent.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Google account data and MOTR account data are kept only while your account is active.
- All stored data, including Google-linked data, is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- You can request deletion anytime by contacting support@m0tr.com.
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Export your MOTR data (invoices, reports, receipts)
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Revoke MOTR's Google API access at Google Security Settings
- Opt out of push notifications anytime in your app settings
9. Cookies
- Essential only – For authentication and UI preferences
- No tracking, advertising, or cross-site cookies
